Louis-François acts as the interim Chief Operating Officer at Symgery to consolidate its operations in Germany and Canada. He is also a strategic advisor for high net-worth investors.
Louis-François has decades of experience at the intersection of business and law, with a robust background in business development and strategic investments across sectors such as high tech, media, and entertainment. Currently, he serves as a strategic advisor to private investors and as President & COO of Symgery Inc., a medical technology company.
Previously, he was Vice-President, Global Head of Corporate Finance and M&A at Cirque du Soleil, one of the world's most recognizable entertainment companies. Before that, he held key roles including Director of Corporate Services at the Montreal Exchange, where he led regulatory changes still in effect on Canadian stock exchanges, and Vice President of Legal and Strategic Affairs at Æterna-Zentaris. He also spent 15 years as a senior partner at Fasken Martineau, specializing in corporate finance and M&A, where he led a national practice group and was the Canadian partner responsible for the firm's London office. In 2012, Louis-François founded Eastman Capital Fund alongside a prominent Canadian businessman in the media and telecom industry. More recently, he managed strategic initiatives for Quebecor Media and served as an advisor to the President and CEO's Office at PSP Investments, one of Canada’s largest pension investment managers.
Louis-François is deeply involved in the community, holding board positions and participating in various non-profit organizations such as the Osmo Foundation, owner of the Notman House startup incubator, and Danse Danse, where he has been Board President since 1998. He is also active with the Foundation of the Carabins of the University of Montreal, the INRS-Armand-Frappier Foundation, and initiatives like C2MTL, FounderFuel, and Founder Institute.
